The Fermented Tea Drink as a Beauty Booster

Many only know kombucha as a tea drink that strengthens and refreshes the body from within. However, renowned cosmetic companies have long been incorporating the tea fungus into face masks, facials, and toners. They value it for its bacterial cellulose. Here you will find interesting ways to use kombucha!

Face Mask – Let Your Complexion Shine with Kombucha

The face mask can help to balance the skin's pH value and kill possible bacteria that lead to pimples and other impurities. Especially on cold days, you should take extra care of your skin.

What you need for 2 applications:

How to make it:

First, chop the Scoby and half of the kombucha in a blender. Then, slowly add the coconut oil and mix everything into a creamy paste. Before applying the face mask, we recommend thoroughly cleansing your face with water. Now, the mask can be applied evenly to the face. After an exposure time of approx. 10 to 20 minutes, you can carefully rinse off the mask and then pat your face dry.

Caution! Make sure the mask does not get into your eyes, as this could cause a burning sensation.

Soothing Body Lotion with Kombucha

Who hasn't experienced it? Too long in the sun and your skin is super dry and stressed! With this lotion, you can care for your body and easily provide it with moisture and nutrients on cold days. The many organic acids contained in kombucha, such as gluconic acid, acetic acid, lactic acid, and other organic acids, can help with the regeneration of your skin cells.

What you need for 1 bottle of lotion:

How to make it:

It's best to get a small glass bottle that holds 100 ml and mix the jojoba oil with the kombucha in it by shaking vigorously. Afterwards, you can pamper your skin with the resulting mixture and massage in the lotion.

Tip:

In addition to jojoba oil, you can also mix Greek yogurt or organic skimmed quark with kombucha and pureed Scoby. Add a little cold-pressed olive oil and your moisture booster is ready!
